Staff Therapist
Peak Wellness Center

Salary Range:

$39 - $42,000 per year - health, dental,vision, life, STD, LTD, AFLAC, vacation, holiday and sick leave, retirement

December 1, 2007

Pine Bluffs, Wyoming

Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A Masters' or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, psychiatric nursing or related field, with a part of training a supervised experience providing mental health/substance abuse services. Two years of post degree supervised experience in providing mental health services may be substituted for practicum/internship, and a Wyoming Professional License or willingness to pursue.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates program planning to meet the comprehensive needs of Program clients.
2. Assures implementation of program plan in compliance with State Standards, and monitors its effectiveness.
3. Supervises all Program staff.
4. Receives referrals for services. Refers inappropriate referrals to appropriate community service provider(s).
5. Ensures that intake assessments, and all other required documentation is completed in compliance with specified timelines.
6. Provides individual, marital, family, group and rehabilitative services as appropriate to client needs. Makes appropriate referrals as needed during course of treatment.
7. Develops and maintains positive working relationship with other community providers. Coordinates with other Peak Wellness Center staff and other community providers in providing joint treatment as reflected in treatment plan. Prepares needed reports of treatment as requested.
8. Maintains case records to reflect course of treatment and provide required documentation. Provides follow-up and aftercare planning services as needed. Expeditiously discharges inactive clients.
6. Ensures adequate, 24 hour services are provided for Program.
7. Provides liaison service for local, regional and state hospitals to ensure continuity of care for Center clients.
8. Maintains therapeutic responsibility for the collection of fees.
9. Attends staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities, which ensure the smooth functioning of clinic operations.
10. Continue acquiring additional knowledge within the substance abuse field.
11. Other duties as assigned by Clinic/Executive Director.

SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Ensure that supervisees perform their job responsibilities as described in their job descriptions. Provide periodic feedback to supervisees regarding the agency's expectations regarding the performance of their job responsibilities.
2. Ensure that services provided by supervisees are reflective of current best practices or, if best practices are not available, are appropriate based on the current consensus of the field.
3. Assist clinical supervisees to develop effective treatment plans for their clients.
4. Ensure that supervisees are knowledgeable of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, including the agency code of ethics.
5. Provide information regarding the agency to supervisees that is required in order for them to adequately perform their assigned responsibilities.
6. Assist supervisees to efficiently utilize agency resources.
7. Assist supervisees to identify ways in which they may evaluate and improve the quality of their services, and assist supervisees to develop individualized plans for professional development.
8. Evaluate the performance of supervisees annually or more often as determined by agency policies.
9. Encourage supervisees to participate in continuous quality improvement activities designed to improve the efficiency of, effectiveness of, and consumer satisfaction with program, clinic, and agency services.
10. Assist all staff in promoting a healthy, comfortable and supportive working environment.
