Qualifications:

Progressive community mental health center near beautiful Yellowstone
National Park has an opening for a full-time therapist to provide
clinical services to clients who access the Brief Intensive Treatment
program. This position will have a close working relationship with
community partners, clinical staff and support staff.

Requirements: Must be a licensed mental health professional, including
provisional license as defined in the Wyoming State Standards.

The Brief Intensive Treatment program is a grant funded program that
provides individual and family therapy to suicidal individuals in order
to stabilize the emotional and environmental stressors. Therapy
intensity depends on the needs of the client/family and ranges from 3 to
15 hours per week for a brief period of time (e.g., less than 3 months)
until stressors that precipitated the suicidal episode abate and coping
strategies are learned. Brief therapy will incorporate as many natural
supports (family, friends, etc) as possible to support the individual's
recovery, improve coping skills, and prevent future attempts. The
intensive brief therapy process will utilize evidence-based practices,
such as brief strategic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy,
spiritually-informed therapy, and family systems therapy to meet
treatment goals. Intensive case management will be provided as needed.
Furthermore, the clinician will make contact with family members of
suicidal individuals to offer services, support, or education on suicide
and depression. The clinician will facilitate a family survivor's
support group.
