About Peak Wellness Center

Peak Wellness Center is a private, nonprofit community mental health center organized under the laws of the state of Wyoming to provide accessible, affordable and high quality comprehensive Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Services in the four southeast counties of Albany, Goshen, Laramie and Platte. Services are available to anyone on a sliding fee scale basis. Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurance accepted.

Peak's programs are: Adult Outpatient Services, Youth and Family Services, Adult Recovery Services for persons with serious and persistent mental illness, Substance Treatment and Prevention Services, and the Foster Grandparent Program.

Core Clinical Programs

Adult Outpatient Counseling Services (MH) - Treatment services for persons experiencing psychological or emotional problems.

Adult Recovery Services (ARS) - Recovery services for persons with a serious and persistent mental illness. Assisting with integration into the community through chosen roles and environments.

Adult Substance Treatment and Prevention Services - Treatment and recovery services for persons with alcohol and drug problems. Prevention Services are for the entire community.

Youth and Family Services - Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment services for children and families experiencing emotional or behavioral problems.

Other Programs

Foster Grandparent Program - Provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for low-income seniors over the age of 60 who provide one-to-one service to children having special or exceptional needs. Volunteer stations include public and private schools, Headstart Programs, safe house shelters, developmental pre-schools, hospitals, and the Family Advocacy Program at FE Warren AFB. In return for their service, Foster Grandparents receive a federal non-taxable stipend of $2.65 per hour, a nutritious meal each service day, transportation assistance, an annual physical exam, training and insurance benefits.

Stagecoach Drop-in Center (Cheyenne), Bonnie's Place (Torrington) and the Sundance Drop-in Center (Laramie) - Provide scheduled social activities for up to 75 people per week. Many activities are co-sponsored by community organizations and promote community integration for members. The Center averages over 40 hours of planned activities per month and welcomes several new members each month. Members are actively involved in various outreach services.
